Freiburg, 21 November 2024 – The international law firm ADVANT Beiten has provided comprehensive legal advice to the shareholders of HECHT Contactlinsen GmbH based in Au near Freiburg on the sale of their shares to the private equity firm Novum Capital. The ADVANT Beiten team was supported by the Swiss law firm Kellerhals Carrard and the Spanish law firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
HECHT Contactlinsen GmbH is the leading manufacturer of custom-made rigid contact lenses in Germany. The company was founded in 1978 and has subsidiaries in Germany, Switzerland and Spain. The company has won multiple awards for its reliability, quality and manufacturing processes.
Novum Capital invests in small and medium-sized companies with annual revenues of up to EUR 200 million on behalf of German and international pension funds, private pension schemes, and endowments. Novum Capital helps its portfolio companies to improve their market position, increase their profitability, enhance the benefits of their business models for society – and increase the value of the companies.
In addition to the comprehensive legal advice provided by ADVANT Beiten under lead partner Gerhard Manz, the law firm Esche Schümann Commichau advised the sellers on tax matters. Löbbecke & Cie. GmbH assisted the seller in the transaction as M&A advisor.
