Russian legislation allows for class actions to be filed to protect the interests of groups, both of individuals and organisations. The ability of individuals to file class actions ("claims to protect the rights and lawful interests of groups of persons") appeared relatively recently in the Russian Code of Civil Procedure, during the legislative reforms of 2019.
