Markus Künzel is Partner at ADVANT Beiten‘s Munich office and Head of the Labour & Employment Law practice group. He particularly advises his national and international clients on collective and individual labour law issues and represents them in legal proceedings in all courts, also in landmark cases before the Federal Labour Court. He is focusing on the planning and implementation of corporate restructurings, transactions and reorganisation measures. In so doing, he is attending negotiations with works councils and trade unions regarding (comprehensive) reductions in personnel or outsourcing measures as well as the implementation of new working conditions, such as e.g. remuneration and working time systems. Markus Künzel advises comprehensively on collective bargaining law and questions regarding the cooperation and dispute with works councils.
Markus Künzel studied law at the Universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Göttingen and Munich and was admitted to the German Bar in 1994. He has been working with ADVANT Beiten since 1994 and became Partner in 1999.
