Dr Winfried Richardt is Partner at ADVANT Beiten in Dusseldorf and member of the Corporate/M&A practice group. In his work he focuses on the areas of competence corporate law, stock corporation law, restructurings and capital market law. His area of activity comprises in particular the ongoing corporate advice on limited liability companies law and stock corporation law. This includes advice during preparation and implementation of shareholders' and general meetings also of listed companies as well as corporate governance issues in complex group structures in the context of interaction between various group companies and its bodies. Dr Richardt further focuses on capital market law topics from the issuer's perspective and assists with restructurings within companies and groups. In addition, he addresses legal issues concerning financial reporting and publicity, in particular annual and consolidated financial statements.
Dr Winfried Richardt studied law at the University of Cologne (Dr iur. 1997) and was admitted to the German Bar in 1999. From 1999 until 2002 he worked as Inhouse counsel with a DAX-listed energy supply group, focusing on corporate and capital market law issues but also addressing general civil law matters. From 2002 until 2017 he headed the department in charge of corporate legal matters and capital market law of a major DAX/MDAX-listed wholesale and retail group. He joined ADVANT Beiten as Partner in 2017.
