Dr Moritz Handrup is Partner at ADVANT Beiten in Frankfurt am Main and member of the Banking, Finance & Restructuring practice group. He focuses on out-of-court and court-based restructuring and reorganisation of companies, in particular acting as an executive body in self-administration proceedings. In addition, Dr Handrup advises and represents clients out of court as well as in court, arbitration and mediation proceedings on insolvency-related issues, in particular on the assertion or defence of insolvency claims and claims for directors' and officers' liability. He advises and represents insolvency administrators, creditors and other parties involved in corporate insolvencies.
Dr Handrup studied law at the University of Cologne, where he obtained his doctorate under Prof Dr Prütting on a topic related to insolvency law. He has been admitted to the bar in Germany since 2015. Before joining ADVANT Beiten in 2017, he worked as a lawyer in the field of insolvency administration for an international commercial law firm in Dortmund. Dr Moritz Handrup has been a partner at ADVANT Beiten since 2020.
