Corporate/M&A - Insolvency Law & Restructuring
Dr Martin Rappert is Partner and Head of ADVANT Beiten's Dusseldorf office and member of the Corporate/M&A practice group. He advises national and international enterprises on all issues of commercial and corporate law, especially in the context of M&A transactions, and he provides ongoing corporate law advice to both shareholders and the managing directors in charge of the operational business. He also focuses on restructuring, corporate rescue and insolvency. Here, his area of activity includes providing restructuring advice to clients, e.g. improving shareholding structures, avoiding liability in a crisis and providing advice on dealing with contractual partners at the risk of insolvency. Moreover, he represents his clients in insolvency proceedings, both defending against liability claims and representing their interests as creditors.
Dr Martin Rappert studied law at the Universities of Marburg and Bonn (Dr iur. 1998) and was admitted to the German Bar in 1999. Furthermore, he graduated as executive MBA at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris), in association with the University of Edinburgh (2003/2004). He has been working with ADVANT Beiten since 1998 and became Partner in 2002.
