Contract & Commercial Law - Corporate/M&A - Dispute Resolution
Dr Gökçe Uzar Schüller is a partner at ADVANT Beiten in Frankfurt and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group. Her area of responsibility includes advising German companies with links to Turkey and Turkish companies with business interests in Germany on cross-border commercial law. Her practice focuses on dispute resolution (litigation, international arbitration, ICC and DIS proceedings) as well as M&A and transaction advisory services.
Dr Gökçe Uzar Schüller studied law at Ankara University and graduated in 1999. Subsequently, she completed her PhD at the University of Regensburg on international arbitration law. Until she joined ADVANT Beiten in 2026, Dr Uzar Schüller had practised as a lawyer (Avukat) for a total of more than 20 years, 14 of which were spent at another leading German law firm. There, she set up the Turkey Desk and most recently headed it as an Associate Partner; in this role, she advised companies and investors on a wide range of complex national and international mandates.
Dr Uzar Schüller has many years’ experience in international arbitration, both as an arbitrator and as counsel. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Dr Uzar Schüller is a lecturer at, amongst others, Ankara University and LMU Munich; she currently teaches International Business Law at Kühne Logistics University (KLU) in Hamburg. She also works nationwide as a speaker on German-Turkish commercial law issues at chambers of commerce and industry and trade associations.
