    Expertise

    Dr Birgit Münchbach is Partner at ADVANT Beiten's Munich office and member of the Practice Group IP/IT/Media. Her areas of expertise comprise corporate and commercial law with cross-border aspects as well as information technology law. She has many years of experience in advising national and international companies on the implementation of digital business models, technology projects, research and development cooperations, joint ventures, IT project agreements as well as licensing of software and cloud solutions. Furthermore, she supports national and international clients in technology transactions and M&A transactions in the IT sector. Another focus of Dr Birgit Münchbach's work is advising French companies on German IT law and corporate law in French.

    Dr Birgit Münchbach studied law at the Albert Ludwig University Freiburg and the University of Sussex (UK). She obtained her doctorate in European Union law from the University of Freiburg and was admitted to the German Bar in 2012. Dr Birgit Münchbach ist certified Corporate Succession Consultant (zentUma e.V.). Prior to joining ADVANT Beiten in 2022, she has been a partner at a leading independent German law firm.
