Christopher Theis is Partner at ADVANT Beiten's Frankfurt office and member of the Public Sector practice group. His area of expertise comprises procurement law, EU state aid law and public commercial law. Mr Theis focuses on assisting public authorities with the preparation and realisation of EU-wide and German award procedures. He further assists companies extensively with their participation in public tenders. Here Mr Theis strongly supports his clients when it comes to the preparation and negotiation of contracts, and represents them in review procedures before award chambers and higher regional courts. He has great experience with complex procurement projects in the sectors IT, traffic, defence and security. In EU state aid law Mr Theis advises his clients particularly on questions of compliance issues, notification procedures and the nature of entrustment acts. His area of activity further includes subsidy law and business administration law.
Christopher Theis studied law at the University of Mainz and was admitted to the German Bar at the beginning of 2012. From 2011 until he joined ADVANT Beiten in 2015 he worked at a large international law firm in Frankfurt am Main. Mr Theis was appointed Partner in 2018. In 2019 he was qualified and admitted as procurement law specialist.
