The amendments could affect European companies that receive goods manufactured in China by transit via Russia. Violation of the transit rules could lead to the confiscation of the goods.
Effective 20 October 2024, the prohibition on the transit via Russia and export from Russia of dual-use goods applies to a wider range of goods. The prohibition covers new categories of dual-use goods, in particular: electric engines and generators, communications and navigation equipment, binoculars.
