    Expertise

    Rainer Süßmann is Partner at ADVANT Beiten's Frankfurt office and member of the practice group Banking, Finance & Restructuring. His area of expertise comprises the advice of stock exchange traded companies on all company and capital markets law matters, including rendering advice to shareholders and banks.  He advises on shareholders‘ meetings, restructurings including taking private transactions, and group-related corporate law.  Another focus is on advising bidders or target companies on public takeovers or mandatory offers or exemptions. In addition, he advises on all issues relating to post-admission obligations under capital market law, such as ad hoc publicity, insider trading, voting rights notifications and reporting obligations under the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG). Rainer Süßmann also has special experience in banking supervisory law and the German Investment Code KAGB and is co-author of the KWG Commentary in Schwennicke/Auerbach.

    Rainer Süßmann was admitted to the German Bar in 1999 following previous activities at Deutsche Börse AG and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. He has been with ADVANT Beiten since mid-2013 and prior to this was a partner at Hogan Lovells International LLP.
