Dr Jürgen Burkhardt is Senior Partner at ADVANT Beiten's Munich office and member of the Corporate/M&A practice group. His area of expertise comprises domestic and cross border transactions, corporate law, as well as general commercial law, media law and inheritance law. He advises national and international clients.
Dr Jürgen Burkhardt studied law at the Universities of Munich and Zurich (Switzerland) and was admitted to the German Bar in 1967. He received his degree as Dr. iur. in 1967. He was admitted as Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong from 1995 until 2003 and in the P.R. China from 1995 until 2005. After having worked for large media companies for several years (Axel Springer Verlag, Gruner+Jahr, both Hamburg), he founded his own law firm Burkhardt Reissinger & von Hutten in 1972 and became one of the co-founders of BEITEN BURKHARDT in the year 1990. He served his law firm for several years as its Managing Partner.

Von 1990 bis 1994 war Dr. Jürgen Burkhardt Lehrbeauftragter für Kartell- und Wettbewerbsrecht an der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, von 2002 bis 2003 für Medienrecht an der Universität Augsburg und von 2008 bis 2009 an der Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften in München für Arbeitsrecht.
