Banking & Finance - Digital, Media & Technology - Private Clients & Foundations
Dr Joachim Reichenberger is Partner at ADVANT Beiten's Munich office and member of the Tax practice group. His area of activity includes all questions of tax and company social security law. His work focuses in particular on the interface between (wage) tax law and labour and (company) social security law, for which he can rely on his ten years of professional experience as a civil servant at the German Pension Insurance (Deutsche Rentenversicherung).
A further focus of his work is on providing support in the context of restruc-turings. Here, in particular, he provides tax and social security law advice on socially responsible staff reduction measures, in which he supports companies in the optimisation of social plans and their subsequent implementation.
Finally, he advises wealthy private individuals (HNWI and UHNWI), including numerous well-known professional athletes, on tax, social security and labour law issues, in particular in the context of moving to or from Germany.
Dr Joachim Reichenberger initially studied at the FHVR Wasserburg am Inn ((German degree in public administration) (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) ). He studied law with an additional training in economics (commercial lawyer (Wirtschaftsjurist) (Univ. Bayreuth)) in Bayreuth. He passed his Second State Examination in Bayreuth and Munich and was admitted to the German Bar in 2014.
Before joining ADVANT Beiten in 2024, Dr Joachim Reichenberger worked for a tax-focused law firm in Bonn and a leading commercial law firm for more than 10 years. His doctoral thesis in the field of tax law is entitled ‘The taxation of professional athletes in national and international tax law’. He also holds an LL.M. degree, also specialising in tax law. At the beginning of 2020, he successfully comple-ted his Executive MBA studies in Washington D.C. (USA). He was publicly appointed as a tax advisor in June 2020. Dr Joachim Reichenberger is also a lecturer at the Haufe Akademie and the Dr. Endriss Steuerfachschule for various tax and social security law topics as well as the author of numerous publications on tax law and the interface topics to employment and social security law. Since 2024 he has been working with ADVANT Beiten.
