The event begins at 2.00 pm with a welcome address by our partner Oliver Korte and Dr Wajma Mangal (MANGAL LEGAL, Hamburg), who will jointly guide you through the programme.
This will be followed by two high-calibre presentations: Dr Philine Fabig (GvW Graf von Westphalen, Hamburg) will explore how competition law and arbitration interact in distribution practice – and where the key pitfalls lie. Under the title ‘Antitrust Issues in Distribution and Arbitration – How to Play the Game?’, she will offer an in-depth look at one of the most complex areas of commercial law. Following this, Dr Sebastian Feiler (BODENHEIMER, Cologne) will focus on the strategic dimension of arbitration clauses: in his presentation ‘Beyond Standard Terms Control: Can an Arbitration Clause Unlock Effective Price Clauses?‘, he will demonstrate how arbitration clauses can be used effectively to overcome the limitations of the review of standard terms and conditions.
