BEITEN BURKHARDT congratulates the winners of the 10th German-Russian Legal Award 2020

The international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has been supporting the German-Russian Legal Award for a number of years as a sponsor. This year the prize was awarded for the 10th time.

Through this award the German-Russian Association of Lawyers, German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, the Centre for East European Law, Graz, the Ostinstitut Wismar and the Wiesbaden Institute for Law and Economics recognise outstanding research work focused on a comparative legal analysis of Russian law and the law of German-speaking countries. The award with a total prize fund of EUR 4,000 is conferred in four nominations: per student and per scientific work in each language (Russian and German).

After reviewing the 50 submitted works, a jury chaired by Professor Dr Rainer Wedde, Of Counsel of BEITEN BURKHARDT, selected the winners: Darja Levina, Alexander Savenko, Pavel Usvatov and Tamerlan Zelikov. A special prize was awarded to Bernd Wieser. Taking into account the complex situation in general, the quantity and quality of the submitted works inspires hope that bilateral legal dialogue will continue.

BEITEN BURKHARDT would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the winners this year!
