The Russian Team of BEITEN BURKHARDT participated in the Annual Conference on Russia organised by the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Berlin
On 18 February 2020 the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce jointly held in Berlin the largest Annual conference in Germany dedicated to Russia. This year it was attended by over 500 high-ranking representatives of German and Russian business and politicians. Honoured guests included Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Denis Manturov, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, Maxim Oreshkin, Economic Counsellor to the President of the Russian Federation, and also Deputy Ministers Vasily Osmakov, Azer Talybov and Pavel Sorokin. Christian Pegel, Minister of Energy, Infrastructure and Digitisation of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, further to the invitation of Falk Tischendorf, honorary representative of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Russia, delivered a speech on the topic "Russian-German relations in the energy sector".
In his opening speech, Matthias Schepp, Chairman of the Management Board of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, presented the second edition of a book published by the publishing house of the Media Group dfv entitled "Guide for Investors: Localisation and Setup of Production in Russia", which was prepared by BEITEN BURKHARDT with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Industry Development Fund of the Russian Federation, the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce and the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations.
The book provides a detailed overview of localisation requirements in all the main industry sectors. The guide also considers the procedure for concluding federal and regional investment agreements, including the new version of the special investment contract (SPIC 2.0), and also the legal and practical aspects of the siting of industrial facilities, opportunities for cooperation with Russian partners and state support measures.
In the podium discussion entitled "The Russian market in the era of global challenges: accessing the market and growth potential", Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Vasily Osmakov and Falk Tischendorf presented jointly the German-language platform for investors GISP - the State Information System of Industry (de.gisp.info), which is operated by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Business representatives can find on this platform, which was developed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Russia and the Industry Development Fund of the Russian Federation with the proactive participation of BEITEN BURKHARDT, detailed information on investments in Russia. The idea of this joint project arose in September 2019 during a meeting between Andrey Sobolev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Federal Republic of Germany, and Falk Tischendorf.
The following employees of BEITEN BURKHARDT proactively participated in the preparation of the Guide for Investors and the navigator in the German language for the GISP platform of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Russia: Natalia Bogdanova, Ekaterina Leonova, Bilgeis Mamedova, Ekaterina Sidenko, Alexander Bezborodov, Taras Derkatsch, Vasily Ermolin, Kamil Karibov, Alexey Kuzmishin, Andrey Slepov and Falk Tischendorf.
