Munich/Hamburg, 27 February 2018 – The international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT further expands its recently opened Hamburg office with Jan Christian Eggers, LL.M., joining in March this year, who will reinforce the areas procurement law and antitrust law on the river Elbe. Eggers comes from Hogan Lovells, where he has worked since 2006, most recently as Counsel in the fields of antitrust law, procurement law, EU state aid and general EU law as well as  litigation. The 40-year old Jan Christian Eggers joins BEITEN BURKHARDT as Salary Partner.

Jan Christian Eggers specialises in providing legal advice on European and German antitrust and procurement law issues. He has many years of experience with projects in the pharmaceutical industry and sectors such as medical products, energy, infrastructure, PPP and defence. His scope of work comprises regulatory questions arising in connection with public procurement projects, invitations to tender and awards of concessions, business transactions, administrative enquiries as well as in connection with distribution and cooperative agreements, joint ventures and compliance. In the area of procurement law Jan Eggers assists his national and international clients with the preparation and execution of complex tendering processes and concession procedures. He also successfully represents their interests before German courts and the European Court of Justice.
