Dusseldorf, 10 April 2018 – The international commercial law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised the Belgian Puratos Group N.V. on the acquisition of the Bakery Ingredients Business of PMG Premium Mühlen Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG. In the context of an Asset Carve Out, the German subsidiary Puratos GmbH of the Puratos Group has acquired the bakery ingredients business of PMG Premium Mühlen Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG. The Purchase Agreement was signed on 14 March 2018 but is still subject to clearance by the works council of the seller. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

With this strategic investment Puratos Group continues its growth trend. Puratos operates in more than 100 countries, offering a comprehensive assortment of innovative products and applications in the bakery, patisserie and chocolate industry. In line with the Group's strategic focus, the transaction shall strengthen the Group's position in Germany and Austria, thus forming the basis for further growth.

BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised Puratos Group on all legal aspects in relation to the Asset Carve Out Deal. During the process of integration, BEITEN BURKHARDT will continue to render advice, for instance, on labour law matters.
