    Press Releases

Munich, 5 December 2017 – In January 2018, the international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT shall open a representative office in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and has won Dr Thomas Lambrich from the law firm Prinz, Neidhardt, Engelschall as Equity Partner and Torsten Cülter from Schultze & Braun as Salary Partner. Also a total number of nine lawyers will move either fully or in part-time to the Hamburg office.

"In our view this opening is another logical strategic step as BEITEN BURKHARDT maintains offices where our clients are settled and where we can provide the best advisory quality. In Hamburg, just as in all our other offices, we shall offer the entire range of commercial law and business consultancy services, and we will certainly continue to advise our clients across practice groups and offices“, says Frank Obermann, Managing Partner of BEITEN BURKHARDT and adds: "With Messrs Lambrich and Cülter joining us, we continue our course of targeted growth with lateral hires in selected areas. We are very pleased to have won two recognised experts with an impressive network of contacts in the market, who will work with our colleagues joining in from other offices to launch business in Hamburg."

Dr Thomas Lambrich is member of the Labour & Employment Law practice group. He advises German and international companies of various sizes and in different industries on all individual and collective labour law issues. A focus of his activities is the drafting and negotiation of collective agreements with trade unions or works councils, especially in the context of restructuring measures as well as with regard to working time models and remuneration schemes. Furthermore, his advisory focus is on the assignment of external staff and the leasing of employees where he provides both the conceptional and contractual drawing up and the performance of complex compliance investigations. As Dr. Lambrich has concurrent expertise and experience in media and data privacy law, he is specialised in rendering legal and strategic advice during media relevant corporate crises considered in the light of labour law aspects. In addition, he advises sports clubs, athletes and players' agents in particular on the drafting and termination of contractual relationships.

"For me, BEITEN BURKHARDT represents the ideal combination of an excellently established, powerful labour law practice and a consequent full service approach focussed on commercial law with a clear specialisation in specific industries“, explains Dr Thomas Lambrich his move and adds: „I am more than pleased to be on board for the start of the Hamburg office, and to jointly tackle the exciting challenge of enhancing the presence of BEITEN BURKHARDT in the North German market together with the new colleagues.“
