BEITEN BURKHARDT Appoints 14 New Partners from 5 Different Competence Areas

    Press Releases

Munich, 28 November 2016 – The international commercial law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT promotes Martin Fink (Labour & Employment Law, Munich) and Stephan Rechten (Public Commercial Law, Berlin) to Equity Partners.

Berlin-based Dr Eva Kreibohm, also from the Public Commercial Law practice, is promoted to Senior Salary Partner. Another eleven lawyers are promoted to Salary Partners.

"We are pleased to be in a position to appoint new partners at all three partner status levels and to once again establish various competencies in conjunction with seniority at almost all our offices", says Frank Obermann, Managing Partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT. "The promotions are primarily reflecting the outstanding work of all newly appointed partners, but also an important step towards securing the future of our firm."

Martin Fink advises his national and international clients on collective and individual employment law issues. His work also includes negotiations with works councils on shop, company or group level in the context of restructurings, but also the defence of employers against actions brought by employees for unfair dismissal and other grounds. As a licenced employment law specialist, Martin Fink represents employers nationwide before both labour tribunals and other courts that may have jurisdiction over disputes with employees. He also represents employers in conciliation boards formed under works constitution law.

Stephan Rechten specialises in procurement law-related advice to both contracting authorities and private businesses on German and Europe-wide tender procedures, including privatisation and PPP projects, and the representation of clients in review procedures before complaint boards and higher regional courts. He advises his national and international clients mainly on defence, energy, IT and healthcare issues. His work also focuses on administrative, state aid and subsidy law.
