    BEITEN BURKHARDT advises leading Chinese investment Group FOSUN on its EUR 12.5 million investment in German FinTech The Naga Group

    Frankfurt, 30 March 2017 – The international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT advised FOSUN Group on EUR 12.5 million investment in The Naga Group AG, Hamburg ("NAGA") .

     

    This is one of the biggest Series A investments in a FinTech company in Europe so far this year.

     

    NAGA is specialized in disruptive trading technologies for the financial sector and the mother company of the social trading network SwipeStox. Within the first nine months following its launch, users worldwide traded more than EUR 20 billion over SwipeStox. Further, NAGA has recently set up a joint-venture with Deutsche Börse AG to operate a platform for the trading of virtual items for online computer games.

     

    FOSUN Group was founded in 1992 in Shanghai and Fosun International Limited went public in July 2007 at Mainboard of the Hong Kong stock exchange. Today, the FOSUN Group is one of the leading investment groups of Chinese origin and with local presences worldwide. The company is active in Europe inter alia through its majority stakes in Club Med and Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers.
