Berlin, 22 September 2017 - The international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised the Swiss Lakeward Group on the acquisition of a real estate portfolio in the Berlin quarter named „Mittenmang“ from Groth Group. The transaction was notarised on 5 September of this year and shall be subsequently consummated. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
The quarter „Mittenmang“ is currently being developed and shall be completed by mid-2018. A native Berliner uses the term "Mittenmang“ when referring to the centre of the middle. With more than 1,000 apartments the quarter of the same name is situated at Lehrter Straße, not more than a mere stone throw from Central Station and the government quarter. Until 1952 the rail depot of Berlin's Central Station, Lehrter Bahnhof, was situated here. The project now provides for the development of coloured mix with "authentic neighbourhood features" - 125 condominium apartments, 482 privately financed rental apartments, 266 micro-apartments, a nursery for 80 children as well as 158 publicly subsidised rental apartments.
