Beside Mercedes, Shell, Bosch and Deutsche Bank, this year again BEITEN BURKHARDT was one of the sponsors of the traditional summer party of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce which was now celebrated for the 12th time already. In the maritime ambience of the "Rotterdam", the former flagship of the Holland America Line, some 600 members and friends of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce from economy, politics and culture met in glorious weather for a networking event of the highest standards on 29 June 2018.
Kept in the style of the 1920s, this year's summer party was opened by the band Shoe Shine Rags in the Grand Ballroom Balcony. While the guests were being pampered at various food stations, they were charmed by a magician or entertained by a stand-up comedian. The event was musically completed by De JongensVanJeWeetWel who fulfilled almost all music requests.
"The summer party of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce has since evolved into an institution within the German-Dutch community", said Regine Nuckel, Partner with BEITEN BURKHARDT and Head of the Dutch Desk in Dusseldorf. "I am not only very happy but also a little proud that we have been supporting this fantastic event from the very beginning. For us, the event provides a wonderful opportunity to catch up with existing contacts from our German-Dutch network and establish new relations in a marvellous atmosphere. The entire organisation team deserves our many thanks for its commitment to setting up a great programme in or at a splendid location each year" comments Regine Nuckel who, in fact, is asking herself how it will be possible to even top this year's event in the year to come.
The guest list included the names of all large and small players involved in the German-Dutch commercial trade which once more illustrates the importance of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the legal, economic and intercultural sphere. With its successful summer party the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce has shown once again that German and Dutch people perfectly understand each other – not only on the trading floor but also on the dance floor.
