Jan Eltzschig is a Partner at ADVANT Beiten's Dusseldorf office and member of the Corporate/M&A practice group. He advises national and international clients in various sectors, with particular experience in the insurance sector, where he advises insurance and distribution companies as well as strategic and capital investors. Jan Eltzschig's activities focus on domestic and cross-border projects including acquisitions and other M&A transactions, portfolio transfers, joint ventures and cooperation agreements as well as the establishment of group structures (including in relation to corporate, distribution, service and outsourcing aspects).In addition, Jan Eltzschig has in-depth experience in corporate law, including topics such as corporate restructurings, board of directors and supervisory board advice as well as corporate governance.
Jan Eltzschig studied law at the Universities of Cologne and Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and has obtained – in addition to the German State Examinations – an LL.M. degree (Cologne/Paris) as well as a mâitrise en droit (Université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne)). He obtained his Second German State Examination in 2007 and was admitted to the German Bar in the same year. Before joining ADVANT Beiten in 2024, Jan Eltzschig has practiced as a Corporate/M&A lawyer in various international law firms for over 16 years (9 of which as a partner).
