Dr Esther Kindler is Partner at ADVANT Beiten’s Hamburg office and member of the Assets, Succession, Foundations practice group. In addition to inheritance and foundation law issues, her area of practice includes succession planning, especially for private individuals and (family-owned) companies, as well as advising founders on the establishment of independent, dependent foundations, associations or foundation substitutes, and providing ongoing legal support to donors, foundations and non-profit organizations.
The focus of her work is on anticipated succession, the settlement of communities of heirs, the assertion and defense of claims to compulsory portions, representation in inheritance certificate proceedings, and the execution of wills. With her extensive experience in the forensic field, Dr Kindler conducts several court proceedings in inheritance law disputes.
Dr Kindler studied law at the Georg August University of Göttingen and received her conferrrat of doctorate from the Institute for Foundation Law and the Law of Non-Profit Organizations at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. She passed her second state examination in Hamburg (2013). She was admitted to the German Bar in 2013. Before joining ADVANT Beiten, Dr Esther Kindler worked for more than ten years at a law firm in Hamburg specializing in business and tax law in the areas of inheritance and foundation law, association and non-profit law, as well as hunting law, since July 2020 as a specialist in inheritance law. She joined ADVANT Beiten in October 2023.
