Moscow, 1 August 2016 – Falk Tischendorf was appointed official representative of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the State Chancellery on 19 July 2016.

Mr Tischendorf was born in Schwerin. He is partner and head of BEITEN BURKHARDT's Moscow Office, and has been working several years as an attorney in Russia. He will assume his new position on a pro-bono basis.

His goal as official representative is to develop economic and cultural relations between Russia and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Mr Tischendorf will facilitate the establishment of contacts for the federal state and represent it at official functions.

The Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania commented on the appointment: "I am convinced that Mr Tischendorf will effectively support cooperation between partners from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Russia, drawing on his experience, contacts and professional knowledge. First and foremost, I call on enterprises from the Federal State to actively leverage this new opportunity.
